Israel said it has beefed up security forces in Jerusalem on Saturday in anticipation of more confrontations with Palestinian protesters, a day after fierce clashes at Al-Aqsa Mosque.
At least 80,000 Palestinians returned to the compound after dark fell for the sacred Muslim night of Laylat al-Qadr.
