Some 300 intern doctors and medical students briefly blocked the Azrieli Junction in Tel Aviv to traffic while protesting the terms of their employment and scrapping of 600 extra vacancies that were filled during the coronavirus pandemic.
The demonstrators protested at the center of the intersection, holding up signs and chanting: "They will not decide for us without us" and "Interns demand shorter shifts".
The junction is now open to traffic.
