France warned on Monday of widespread escalation of the unrest in Jerusalem and called on all parties to "exercise restraint."
"These clashes now pose the risk of a large-scale escalation," a spokesperson for the French Foreign Ministry said, calling on "all sides to exercise the greatest restraint and to refrain from any provocations."
