A man was arrested in the southern city of Be'er Sheva, police announced on Tuesday.
The suspect was spotted by police trying to stab another person at a protest.
One of the officers fired in the air and the suspect fled into Soroka Medical Center where he was captured with the help of the hospital's security guards.
According to a preliminary investigation, the incident was of criminal nature and not nationalistic.
