Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi recommended to the political echelon to force a change in the way aid money meant for the reconstruction efforts in Gaza is transferred to the Palestinians.
As per the recommendation, the money, Qatari or otherwise, will not be transferred directly to Hamas, but to the Palestinian Authority, through a special mechanism that will transfer it directly to the people of Gaza.
