The families of those who perished in the disaster on Mount Meron - in which 45 people were killed and over 150 injured - made a joint statement on Thursday.
"We demand a State Commission of Inquiry on the matter," the families said in their statement. "We were sure that within a few days the State of Israel will convene and investigate the incident in depth - so that such tragedies do not happen again. Unfortunately, what we discovered was a professional and well-oiled mechanism to cover-up the disaster."
