Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Tuesday that removing the existential Iranian threat must be done even if it causes a rift between Israel and its close friend, the United States.
Speaking at the Mossad ceremony for the incoming chief David Barnea Netanyahu said that the Mossad bares most of the burden of preventing Iran from achieving nuclear capability.
"I told my friend of 40 years, Joe Biden that with or without a nuclear deal, we will continue to do everything we can to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear bomb," the prime minister said. "Iran, unlike other countries which already posses nuclear weapons, can not be allowed to have one."
