Hamas leader in the Gaza Strip Ismail Haniyeh plans to go on a tour of Iran and Lebanon, Lebanese newspaper al-Akhbar reported on Friday.
During his visit, Haniyeh will meet Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and President Hassan Rouhani, as well as senior members of the Revolutionary Guards Corps.
In Lebanon, Haniyeh will meet with Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah.
The visit will take place just weeks after the end of the recent round of fighting between Israel and Gaza terrorist factions when Hamas' military wing is in need of assistance in rebuilding its operational capabilities.
