U.S. mission in J'lem warns employees of violence ahead of flag march

The U.S. Embassy in Israel Monday night issued a warning to government employees and family members in Jerusalem of a Jewish nationalist parade that is set to take place in the capital the next day.
"Due to calls for a Jerusalem Flag March and possible counter-demonstrations in Jerusalem’s Old City on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, U.S. government employees and their family members are prohibited from entering Jerusalem’s Old City on Tuesday, June 15. U.S. citizens can take this into account when making their own travel plans," a communique read.
"As security incidents often take place without warning, U.S. citizens are strongly encouraged to remain vigilant and take appropriate steps to increase their security awareness."
