Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi received the head of Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service Sergey Naryshkin in the presence of Egypt's General Intelligence chief Hassan Rashad. According to the Egyptian presidency, the meeting addressed several regional and international issues of mutual interest. El-Sissi emphasized the "importance of consolidating the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and implementing its second phase." It was reported that both sides agreed to intensify political consultations and coordination.
