Israel Frei, suspected of incitement to terrorism, appealed detention extension - then withdrew it the next day

|
The lawyer of journalist Israel Frei, who was arrested on suspicion of incitement to terrorism after praising the deaths of five Netzah Yehuda battalion fighters in the Beit Hanoun disaster, withdrew the appeal she filed yesterday against the decision to extend Frei's detention. The defense attorney claimed that journalist Frei had already been interrogated for five hours and that the detention conditions are "very difficult and he doesn't have his eyeglasses," but police countered that Frei is not cooperating with the investigation and that additional investigative actions need to be carried out.
