Bismuth chairs first Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee meeting, dispute between MK and sister of murdered hostage

|
The Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee discussed cyber attacks on digital services in a session chaired for the first time by the new chairman, MK Boaz Bismuth (Likud). Merav Sibirsky, sister of Itay Sibirsky who was murdered in Hamas captivity, criticized the committee members: "You are again choosing to continue sacrificing them (the hostages), over and over again, you know exactly what condition our soldiers and reservists are in." MK Tali Gottlieb (Likud) objected to Sibirsky's comments, and an argument developed between the two during the discussion.
