Two suspects arrested for stealing railway electrification cables near Beer Sheva

Israel Railways security patrol officers caught two suspects who stole railway electrification cables in the Beer Sheva area during Yom Kippur, following a chase. The two caused damage to the railway electrification infrastructure and were caught after the railway security center monitored suspicious activity in the theft area and located the thieves using security cameras. The suspects were detained and transferred to the police. According to Israel Railways, the infrastructure in question is under construction and electrical network maintenance crews are on site repairing the damage.
