The government approved a decision to develop the Beer Sheva metropolitan area, including an investment of about 1 billion shekels. According to the Prime Minister's Office, the decision is intended to support the relocation of IDF bases to the Negev, improve infrastructure, quality of life and opportunities for Negev residents, service members and their families.
