Anwar Gargash, adviser to the president of the United Arab Emirates, responded on X to the exchange of fire between Washington and Tehran, saying that 'the Iranian attacks against Kuwait and Bahrain and against Qatari and Saudi commercial tankers in the Strait of Hormuz are clear proof that Tehran is still unable to adhere to demands for de-escalation and ending the war. The Gulf states cannot remain a target for Iran's hesitation between escalation and stability and peace.'
