Knesset Approves Unpaid Leave Framework for 'Lion's Roar'

|
The Knesset approved in second and third readings the unpaid leave framework for the 'Lion's Roar' war with 40 supporters against 32 opponents. According to the framework, a person on unpaid leave will be able to receive unemployment benefits from the tenth day of continuous absence from work. Additionally, the eligibility period was shortened from 18 months to 6 months. Those approved for unpaid leave will receive compensation from the first day without deducting five vacation days. The law will be in effect temporarily until April 14.
