IDF: 'Pushko' Moskovitz killed by forces' artillery fire, flaws and errors found

|
Northern Command chief Maj. Gen. Rafi Milo announced that Ofer (Pushko) Moskovitz was killed yesterday by shells fired by the IDF that struck Misgav Am. According to the investigation, artillery fire was carried out to assist forces operating in southern Lebanon. The investigation revealed "severe flaws and operational errors in the planning and execution of the fire — the shells were fired at an incorrect angle and not according to required procedures. As a result, five shells struck the Misgav Am ridge, instead of enemy targets." The IDF noted that the investigation's conclusions will be disseminated and studied by all relevant parties.
