Poet Yisrael Pincas, winner of the Israel Prize for 2005, died at the age of 91. Throughout his prolific career, Pincas translated books and plays, edited books for Am Oved and Sifriat Hapoalim publishing houses, managed two art galleries in Tel Aviv and wrote about Israeli art in the press. From the 1980s, he also served as a consultant and expert on 20th-century art, after studying literature and art in London and Paris. Pincas began publishing poetry in the early 1950s, and in 1961 his first book of poems, "Fourteen Poems," was published. Over the years, he published a series of poetry books, including "Dinner in Ferrara and Other Poems," "To the Equator" and "Inside the House." He is survived by two daughters, Daniela and Michal.
