Lt. Col. Yarden Shukrun, first female battalion commander in Gaza, appointed to lead new Home Front Command brigade

Lieutenant Colonel Yarden Shukrun, who was the first female battalion commander in the Gaza Strip, has been appointed commander of the new 'Arbel' Brigade in the Home Front Command. The 'Arbel' Brigade is the second regular brigade established in the command and its purpose is training and instruction of Home Front commanders. It will include the command's battalion, the Home Front Professions School and the command training base. Shukrun, who previously served as commander of the Home Front Professions School and Shahar Battalion commander, fought on October 7 in Ofakim and at the Orim Base of the Home Front Command's Southern District.
