The Supreme Court rejected the appeal of Daniel Kedar, who was convicted of murder under aggravating circumstances of real estate developer Eldad Peretz. This leaves Kedar's conviction intact, along with his sentence of life imprisonment and maximum compensation to the deceased's family. Peretz was shot to death in October 2021 in a synagogue parking lot in Rehovot, against the backdrop of a financial dispute related to the purchase of apartments in a real estate project by the Peretz Group. The Supreme Court accepted the state's position and unanimously rejected the appeal. The ruling stated that the totality of evidence creates a clear and unequivocal picture pointing to Kedar as the perpetrator of the murder.
