U.S. President Donald Trump will meet with Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara (Abu Muhammad al-Jolani) during his visit to Saudi Arabia, the British Times reports. According to the report, Trump will also meet with Palestinian Authority Chairman Abu Mazen and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun - despite previous denials of reports about meetings with these two leaders. The Times noted that al-Jolani is expected to 'push' for lifting American sanctions on his country in exchange for U.S. access to Syrian natural resources, similar to the minerals agreement in Ukraine. The report also states that the Syrian president might agree to join the Abraham Accords, including the possibility of Israeli military presence in southern Syria.
