Police announced the arrest of a 20-year-old man from the Golan, suspected of driving under the influence and fatally striking 'Ironman' Tal Gelbua, who was riding his bicycle yesterday on Route 98. Gelbua was a triathlete who had previously competed in the 'Ironman' competition and was killed by a vehicle strike near the Meghashim Junction. An initial investigation and treatment at the scene by traffic police officers raised suspicion that the driver of the private vehicle was under the influence of alcohol, and a test conducted on him indeed found a positive indication for alcohol in his body. His detention has been extended.
