Fire and Rescue: 5 firefighting teams operated in Bat Yam, 4 buses burned

The Fire and Rescue Services reported that five teams worked to extinguish buses that caught fire in a parking lot in Bat Yam, where a man in his 30s was killed. Chief Fire Officer Oshri Bason said that "upon arrival at the scene, we noticed thick black smoke rising from four buses on fire. We conducted firefighting in three work sectors, while performing comprehensive searches to locate trapped individuals and prevent the spread of fire. During the searches, a body was discovered." Dan District Commander Deputy Commissioner Oren Shishitzky ordered the establishment of a district investigation team to examine the circumstances of the incident. The police are also investigating the event.
