The Nobel Prize Committee in Chemistry of the Swedish Academy of Sciences announced that this year's Nobel Prize in Chemistry winners are Prof. Susumu Kitagawa from Japan, Prof. Richard Robson from Australia and Prof. Omar Yaghi, a Jordanian-born scientist of Palestinian descent. This year's prize was awarded for reticular chemistry - methods for creating networks of gas-trapping materials.
