National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir responded to the Jerusalem District Court's decision that Chief Inspector Meir Suisa will not be promoted to the rank of Deputy Superintendent and will not serve as commander of the Tel Aviv South Police Station. Ben Gvir claimed that "Chief Inspector Meir Suisa is a talented and respected police officer who fell victim to a justice system preoccupied with persistently thwarting the implementation of government policy." He added: "As I promised the Prime Minister earlier today, we will do everything in our power, using the means available to us in the Knesset, to put an end to the harassment and persecution."
