The Police Internal Investigations Department (PIID) has filed an indictment with the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court against a police officer who violently assaulted his wife and threatened her life and the life of their approximately one-and-a-half-year-old son. According to the charges, about two weeks ago the defendant attacked his wife in their home, threatened to murder her and their son while holding his personal weapon and caused her injuries. He later threatened her and tried to prevent her from leaving the house. According to the indictment, the police officer took various actions to violate his wife's privacy.
