Report: Europe considers billions in tariffs on US over Trump's Greenland threats

|
The European Union is considering imposing tariffs worth 93 billion euros ($108 billion) on the United States, or restricting American companies, in response to threats by US President Donald Trump to impose tariffs on European countries that disagree with his plan for American takeover of Greenland. This was reported by the Financial Times. It is claimed that representatives of the 27 EU member states discussed the tariffs in order to create leverage against the US, ahead of meetings Trump will hold in the coming days at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
