President Donald Trump's administration is delaying approval for the transfer of interceptor missiles for Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine, the Washington Post reported, citing sources involved in the matter. According to the report, U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has not yet approved the transfer of missiles from Kyiv's allied nations, but has also not officially rejected the requests. The delay comes amid escalating tensions between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and as Ukraine faces a severe shortage of interceptor missiles in the face of Russian attacks. A Ukrainian official told the newspaper last week that the country's stockpile contains 'only a few missiles left.'
