The Agriculture Ministry addressed the spraying of materials over algae in the Mediterranean Sea that caused the shutdown of desalination facilities, specifying that the fishing ban announced by the Health Ministry applies off the coast of Ashkelon. "The ban will be in effect from Ashkelon to the Gaza Strip border, extending 10 kilometers west from the coastline, and will remain in force until September 7, 2026," it was reported. The Agriculture Ministry emphasized: "Fish marketed to the public are safe to consume without concern."
