Belarusian president attacks Israel: 'Thought US would conquer the world for it'

|
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko was quoted by his country's official news agency BelTA making a series of anti-Israeli statements, in which he accused Jerusalem of dragging the U.S. into war with Iran. Lukashenko added, among other things, that Israel is "a small country in territory and population, but sees many around it as enemies - and strikes them. But with such a country, you cannot conquer the entire world." According to him, Israel thought the U.S. would do it for them, but in Washington "they caught themselves in time."
