Two U.S. Navy destroyers passed through the Strait of Hormuz earlier, according to three American sources who spoke with the Wall Street Journal. This marks the first time American warships have traversed the strait since the beginning of the war with Iran, which claimed in turn that it had forced U.S. vessels to turn back after threatening to attack them.
