Hani, the mother of reservist soldier Neriya Leiter who was wounded yesterday in a terror attack at a checkpoint on Route 443, told IDF Radio that "his wife started crying and came to tell me. At first she told me, I thought it was an explosive device." Hani added: "You can't get used to it. We are still in shock, his wife keeps saying 'I can't believe this is happening to us.' After his brother Moshe fell, he wanted so much to gather us all together and helped all of us. He held our hand. He was amazing." When asked if his children know about his condition, she answered: "The oldest, Neriya's 11-year-old, his wife told them yesterday. Friends were with them at night and she went to tell them."
