Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir addressed the Supreme Court hearing regarding the appointment of David Dini as head of the Shin Bet, stating that "the exclusive authority to appoint the Shin Bet chief belongs solely to the Israeli government. Not to the electric company, not to the water authority and not to the Supreme Court. Only to the Israeli government."
