An Egyptian court sentenced a well-known television host and 11 other defendants to death for drug production and trafficking, as part of a large-scale drug case. The host, Sara Khalifa, 39, is known primarily for her show "Mission Impossible," which dealt with security and crime-related issues. The newspaper Al-Ahram reported that a Cairo court sentenced "Khalifa and 11 other defendants to death by hanging, for establishing an organized crime gang specializing in obtaining materials used for drug production, with the intent to trade them, as well as for the unlicensed possession and carrying of weapons and ammunition."
