The political echelon's decision to open "humanitarian corridors" for UN convoys in the Gaza Strip was made Saturday during a phone call with members of the security cabinet. A senior official in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's circle called National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir on Saturday evening to update him about the decision, claiming they decided not to invite him and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich because "they didn't want them to violate Shabbat." Ben Gvir was furious: "Just excuses. You didn't want to include us so we couldn't tell you our opinion. This is a big mistake, absurd. You didn't include me because you knew I would oppose it. Very serious."
