Herzog Apologizes to American Photojournalist: 'Despicable Behavior, I Was Deeply Troubled'

|
President Isaac Herzog spoke with American photojournalist Heidi Levine, who was attacked in Binyamin. Herzog said: "As President of the State of Israel, I strongly condemn this outrageous and shocking phenomenon of violence. I was morally troubled throughout the weekend thinking about this, and I express deep regret and apologize for what you went through. The despicable behavior of these criminals does not represent the citizens and values of Israel. All government, security and law enforcement authorities are acting with all means at their disposal to thoroughly investigate, reach the lawbreakers and bring them to full justice."
