The Israel Prison Service spokesperson reported that one of the activists from the "Sumud" flotilla to Gaza, a Spanish citizen, bit a female medical staff member at Ktziot Prison after being returned from a medical examination ahead of her release tomorrow. According to the Prison Service, the staff member sustained minor injuries and received treatment on site, and police were called to handle the assailant. "We view any violence against Prison Service staff with utmost severity, and it is dealt with according to law," the statement said.
