Spain: 11 dead in 'deadliest wildfire in the country' in two decades

At least 11 people have died in a major fire that broke out in the Los Guájares area of Almería province in southeastern Spain. This was reported by provincial authorities amid a heat wave in southern Europe. Six additional people were injured, about 1,000 residents were evacuated from their homes and approximately 150 firefighters continue to battle the flames with the assistance of additional forces. It was also reported that 19 people are still missing, and the incident has already been described by the Reuters news agency as the deadliest wildfire in Spain in more than two decades.
