According to the report, Hegseth is expected to meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz, with one of the visit's goals being to allay Israeli concerns about the possibility that the US will sell advanced F-35 fighter jets to Turkey. Hegseth is currently at the NATO summit in Turkey alongside US President Donald Trump.
