The chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court in The Hague (ICC), Karim Khan, was removed by a vote of 82 countries after evidence emerged of sexual harassment allegations against him. Thirteen countries opposed the removal and 15 abstained. Khan's associates claim the removal is the result of an 'Israeli campaign against him.' Israel's Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon responded to the removal: 'Karim Khan thought that if he launched a political witch hunt against Israel and issued arrest warrants, the world would ignore the serious sexual offense allegations attributed to him. He was wrong.'
