Undercover fighters from the Gideon Unit arrested a Tanzim operative, the military wing of the Fatah movement, in the Balata refugee camp yesterday. The terrorist, who tried to escape, was shot in the legs and neutralized by the force. The detainee, a resident of the village of Qalqilya in his mid-30s, is a sensitive Tanzim operative who had access to combat equipment. He was transferred for further treatment and interrogation by the Shin Bet security service. There were no casualties among the forces.
