IDF conditions for Lebanon agreement: buffer zone to the Litani, freedom of action and process to dismantle Hezbollah

|
The IDF has defined three main conditions for an agreement with Lebanon, amid cease-fire negotiations: creating a buffer zone in southern Lebanon up to the Litani River – free of Hezbollah presence and infrastructure; maintaining full military freedom of action to remove threats – even north of the Litani; and initiating a long-term process to dismantle the organization's weapons, under an American monitoring mechanism. This was reported to Ynet. As of now, the IDF has not received instructions to prepare for a cease-fire, and operational activities continue.
