Justice Minister Yariv Levin and National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir signed regulations governing how victims of sexual assault and violence offenses can express their position before the parole board. The new regulations will enable victims of sex crimes and violence to make their voices heard regarding the expected risk to their safety and security in the event of a prisoner's release from incarceration, and simplify the bureaucratic process for them. Under this framework, a crime victim who wishes to express their position before the parole board will be able to do so either orally or in writing, according to their choice.
