The prosecutor's office submitted an indictment to the Jerusalem District Court against Yoel Richardson, a 37-year-old resident of Ma'ale Levona in Samaria, for the murder of his mother, Sarah Richardson. According to the indictment, Richardson cared for his mother at her home, and their relationship was characterized by repeated violence from the accused toward his mother. "On the night of the murder, the two were in bed after smoking cannabis, and after she woke up from a blow the defendant gave her and reprimanded him - he decided to kill her," the indictment states. "The defendant decided to suffocate his mother with a pillow and made sure she was dead, and afterward acted to eliminate evidence." A request was submitted to detain him until the end of proceedings.
