Druze and Jews donated about 200 units of blood in the town of Usfiya in the Carmel, as part of an initiative to ensure blood availability for Druze wounded from the fighting in Syria who may arrive for medical treatment in Israel. "We are witnessing moving solidarity from all parts of Israeli society," said Saleh Badrieh, a member of the leadership of the Fourth Quarter movement and one of the organizers of the initiative. "Jews and Druze come together to donate blood because they understand that human lives are at stake. This shows the true unity between us in difficult times. I wish the state leadership would share in this unity and solidarity with the Druze community."
