Indictment: Police officer choked teen at Herzliya rehabilitation home, held Taser to his head

|
The Police Internal Investigations Department filed an indictment at the Haifa Magistrate's Court against a police officer who violently attacked a teenager while attempting to conceal his actions. According to the indictment, the officer was called in the line of duty to a youth rehabilitation home in Herzliya following a call from staff members who reported that one of the teens was acting violently while holding a shovel. The officer escorted the teen to his room, and there, in response to a cynical remark the complainant made to him, the defendant turned off his body camera and pushed him onto the bed, choked him, slapped him in the face and held a Taser to his head while threatening to electrocute him. Only afterward did the defendant turn the body camera back on.
