Hurricane 'Melissa': At least 34 dead in Haiti, Jamaica and Dominican Republic

At least 34 people were killed in Haiti, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic as a result of Hurricane "Melissa" that struck the region and is currently raging in Cuba. Authorities in Haiti reported 25 deaths from flooding, while Jamaica recorded eight fatalities. One additional person died in the Dominican Republic. After Cuba, the storm is expected to reach the Bahamas, and is currently classified as a category 2 hurricane.
