Syrian President's Father Threatens Israel: 'We Won't Stay Silent, It Will Come From Where You Don't Expect'

Hussein al-Shara, father of Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara (Abu Mohammed al-Jolani), strongly criticized Israel in a harsh Facebook post following the attack in Damascus. He wrote: 'The Zionist enemy state threatens and attacks under the pretext of protecting Syrian Druze, as if it cares more than the Syrian state and people. This is done believing that the new Syrian state will remain silent, as in the past. Israel has been oppressing Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank for two years, destroying and uprooting while regional actors watch, but on the Syrian issue, we will not remain silent. It will come to you from a place you don't know.'
