She warned that due to airspace restrictions in Israel and Iran, Canberra will find it difficult to assist in evacuating citizens who requested help - approximately 1,500 people in Iran and about 1,200 in Israel. Meanwhile, New Zealand evacuated its embassy in Tehran - and its diplomats have left the country.
