The signing ceremony for the framework agreement between Israel and Lebanon has begun at the U.S. State Department in Washington. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced the agreement at the ceremony, saying 'there is still much work to be done.' He added that 'it is clear that the citizens of Israel deserve to live in peace and security, especially the residents of northern Israel, who have been targeted again and again by terrorist attacks launched from Lebanese territory. But not by the Lebanese people, and not by the Lebanese government, but by an external actor that sought to use this territory to harm innocent civilians who have been unable to live in these places for a long time.'
